This is the only kind of poetry I can write-the kind where someone tells you exactly how to compose it. Granny Sue showed me how to write a modern form of a Cinquain. Go see Granny Sue by clicking on her name and write one for yourself.

Those raspberries bring back memories of my maternal grandmother who grew the best juicy raspberries. I could sit in the bushes for hours and eat them right off the bush. I think I ate her profit.

What a great narrative poem. I enjoyed the pictures, too!

Wonderful, Tipper! You create such clear, toucing images with your poems. You really grabbed hold of this form and made it your own.

Beautiful, all. I especially love Screendoor. I have many memories of screendoors - I love screendoors. Not the kind that slide but the kind that slam and shout "Summer!"

I especially enjoyed the line in the poem : "Love hate forgive". That is exactly the relationship I have with my sister. Thanks

There you go. That's a good place to start. There are hundreds of different form poems (that is poems with a specific form that must be followed to qualify) I have a book that gives examples of the different forms. I use it as a guide for contest poems requiring a specific type of poetry. Good job. Pappy

Love your pictures and poem, Tipper. I always wished I had a sister. Is that you in the last picture?

This is a great post, my 14 year old will love reading it. She has a thing for poems. :)

I love your poetry simple, yet so descriptive you can see and hear it exactly!
I love old squeeky screen doors, the way they slam when you walk through. Into a kitchen with the smell of grandmas oatmeal cookies. hmmm memories!

Another wonderful poem that I absolutely love. My favorite part is the sisters part and my favorite picture is that older red door one.
