Well, I just have to comment and let you know today I made the best biscuits thanks to you. Now my husband says he would like me to learn how to make gravy!!!
(after 31 years you'd think he would give up -but yet he finally got his biscuits!)
Thanks again
vickie

I tell you that Granny is good! All the things you've shown that she has made makes me want to see more. Go Granny!

Love the flowers on those curtains too! xxoo

Such a nice thing to do! Thanks!

What a cute little treat! Love the spider web!

Love these!!

Congrat to Becky ~ one of my favorite blogs ~ found through Blind Pig and the Acorn ~ another of my favorites!
Never doubt your skill on this site. It's wonderful and one of my all time favorites. Glad I can be one of your acorns!
Happy Fall!

That is a cute little spider web. Congrats to Becky, the Halloween queen.

Neat web!

I feel nuttier already....

My crochet skills aren't quite good enough to make that but I do love it. Congratulations to Becky! blessings, marlene

Isn't there a saying about acorns and winters? Something like an unusual abundance of acorns is a sign of a very rough winter. How is the acorn crop looking this year in your neck of the woods?

Congratulations, Becky! Very cute decoration. What's in the background of the bowl? I thought for a moment they were Christmas decorations, but maybe some fall things? Enlighten me! Have a great weekend!

Wow! So many giveaways! Can't wait to see what fabulous things you offer up! Granny's web is super cute!

Tipper! I love being considered an acorn! I've always loved your blog name, and though I knew it was a common quote, wasn't sure why you had chosen it! I love your decision that we are acorns, your readers! But, you are hardly a Blind Pig! You are so talented in all you do!

Thanks for the Blog Love Tipper, I appreciate you :o)

Tipper,
That's very clever to equate commentors with acorns, that is exactly what we are. My granny used to always says, "Every old bling hog finds an acorn every once in awhile".

I love the spider web thingy, its be perfect for a table decoration or to put over a bowl of trick or treat candy!

I love your blog. Also, Love Love Love the music that plays while i read your witty observations.

Matthew

Congratulations Becky!

That is such a cute spider web!

Congratulations, Becky!!! We are all very jealous, you can be sure!

Thank you for the linky love!

Blessings!
Lacy

Nice post as always! Thanks for the mention! :)

Well, how about you - a surprise giveaway! (Congrats, Becky!) I'm telling you, I really enjoy stopping by your blog every day - it's just like visiting with a friend who lives just down the road. I guess it'd be what we call "back door neighbors."

Thanks for all the great stories and memories that you share with us.

Tipper: I'm surprised that you would put yourself down that way. You have such a great site and are always articulate. Congrats to Becky and she also has a fun site. Keep all the great posts coming.

Just a note to let you know how much I enjoy your site. My son came by the other day and I showed him your site and then we just sat and listened to the music for awhile. That was so nice. By the way could you tell me how you pronounce "Appalachian", I say it one way and my son says it another. Granny does great work, I love the spider/web. Terry

Congratulations to Becky on winning the giveaway. I know she will love it.

Love the photo of the acorns. We don't see them much around here anymore. We used to play with them when we were kids.

I left a comment on your hay post. That brought back a lot of memories.

Blessings,
Mary

I've always been a little nutty. : )

Becky is a lucky lady to win that spiderweb. I love it!

I've been called a lot of things, though never an acorn. So cute...so true!

I always look forward to the list of blogs and commenters! Congrats to Becky!

Oh, WOW! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
I just love it!
Granny will have to send me that pattern, too.
From one of your many little acorns!

So glad that you are gaining in confidence! Your blog is great :) I always find a new tidbit when I stop by, and it's usually fun too!

And I am so envious as I love Halloween!

I'm so happy for Becky. I'm sure the second she sees/saw this, she will be screaming, jumping up and down and doing a happy dance. It couldn't have gone to a more perfect person!

You are SO nice, and every Friday! You're going to worn out!

Your blog is always a joy to read. I love learning about your part of the country and then thinking back on the similarities with my own and then thinking what makes your place unique. It's a wonderful experience--a rich blessing.

What a cute spider web!! Granny did good.
I wish I had the time and energy to do things like that.
