Time to Spread the Love for the month of January. You've went along with me as I bemoaned the cold, killed hogs with Keith Jones, made my debut radio appearance, rendered lard with Pap and Granny, made a might fine cake of cornbread, mourned the passing of Arley Phillips and picked out one of my favorite songs Silver Wings-and I thank each of you.
A big shout out for all those who took the time to comment during the month of January:

Rooney Floyd! Since I happen to know Rooney likes good music-I'll be sending him one of Pap and Paul's Lamp Lighting Time cds.
Drop back by to read Keith Jones' memories of cutting firewood back in the day-and we've still got some sausage to can.
Tipper
p.s. don't forget to click on a commenter's name above and go for a visit-I know you'll be glad you did. Also-I'll be announcing the winner of Peggy Poe Stern's book on Wednesday.

Lamp lighting time is my favorite CD of Pappy and Paul's. It plays with us on every car ride.

Congrats to Rooney! This has been a great month of posts, Tipper. I enjoyed the hog stories and also loved reading how everyone made their cornbread.

Wow! Thanks. This is about the second time in over 60 years I won anything. Looking forward to my new CD. Keep up the good work. I enjoy the Pig every morning.--Rooney Floyd

Congratulations to Rooney, I'm sure he will enjoy the CD.
January sure went fast. Now we face the two slowest months of the year. February and March always seem so cold and dreary.
The Blind Pig sure helps. Every morning I check my email and the new comments. Sometimes later in the day I pull up the Pig to listen to the music. There is nothing like the sweet voices of my granddaughters, and Paul and Pap, to brighten even the dreariest of days!
Thanks for all you give us, Tipper!

Congrats to Rooney!
When I read that you were sharing the love for January, I didn't realize January was already gone! Jeez- where did it go? Time is passing way too fast for me...
