So looking forward to all you have planned! Congrats on 1000 followers, counting myself as one is a privilege!! How about a Christmas series for December? Or is that politically correct anymore? lol It will always be Christmas to me! Love your stories cd

Whooo Hooo 1000! Good for you! Wish I had planned our Asheville vacation around the Folk Art festival, but alas we were there last week and will miss it. :( And I wish I could take your cooking class as I bet it will be so interesting.
I love the fact that a group of crows is called A Murder of Crows. While I am a big fan of birds of prey, one of my fave birds is actually the Turkey Vulture which we have in abundance here in my part of NJ. Yes they are ugly, but I consider them God's garbage men, cleaning up roadkill for us.

Wow - that is amazing. And we are goint to try and make the festival again this year.

I do have a favorite bird - the Hawk.

Hope to see you very soon.

Tipper, 1000 subscribers...that is slap out wonderful!!!!
I agree, a celebration is called for.
I love crows, have lots of them in my back woods. I talk to them and they talk to me.
I'll donate a prize, but I'll have to figure out what. I made a lovely apple pie this morning for a friend. I'd love to donate one of them but I don't think it would ship too well. LOL
I'm looking forward to the Fall Festival. Love to see you all perform...a little grandmotherly pride there!

well we know you have no chance of being bored anytime soon. congrats on the cooking at the fold school. and i know you are all happy about the clogging starting up. Crow is a little strange for favorite bird i must say. my favorite is a pelican, because they are ugly

Wow, you are definitely gonna be busy! Good luck!!!

I would love to visit a folk festival like the ones you describe. I hope the girls have a grand time!

I love crows, too. They are so saucy and up front.

A 1000....WOW....all I can say is "Thanks". You've been an inspiration in many ways. I'll bet that cooking class will be awesome. Looking forward to many, many more posts from you and the Blind Pig gang! May God continue to richly bless you and yours...and your Blog.

Sounds like you are going to be very busy. Congratulations on your cooking class.

Love the paranormal. Can't wait for Halloween.

Would love to come see your family perform. Wish it wasn't sooo far. Congratulations on the 1000 viewers. Am sure they all love your site as much as i do. Good luck on the cooking.

Tipper--I simply cannot believe those mean, theivin', nest-robbing, devilish creatures known as crows are your favorite bird. Of course, they are reckoned to be the smartest of all avian creatures, and maybe that's the explanation. After hearing you admit this I'm surprised you are evenin going to use my crow story, but I guess you are all for "fair and balanced."

That's all I'll reveal, other than to say she's already got my crow story and they ain't exactly my favorite birds.
