I've added a new music player to the Blind Pig. The set up is a little different but I hope it will work just as well as the old player.
The controls for the player are now at the very top of the page. If you want to stop the music or change the song-the buttons to click are at the top of the page on the far left side. I've tested the player for the last 2 weeks and it seems to work well, however there may be a few bugs still left to find-if any pop up I'll try to fix them as soon as possible!

If you live close enough-come out to the Cashiers Mountain Music Festival next weekend-June 30-July 1. Chatter and Chitter will be performing with Jacob Jones, Will Howell & the Smoky Mountain Highlanders on Saturday-June 30th on the Village Green Stage at 4:00pm. You can go here for more details about the festival. The festival has a pretty impressive line up of artists-including Tony Rice and Blue Highway. Hope to see you there!

Tipper,
If those girls and you, and the Gang don't get on the Opry, I think I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown. You all have what it takes; just need the right person to find out about it!
As for those ladies that experienced abuse; Pity those men for they will have nothing to hope for in this life. They have ruined themselves by their actions.

Wish I could make it to the Cashiers festival. We saw Blue Highway at the Brevard festival last year in mid September and they were wonderful.
I am on iPad now, so will have to try out new music player later. We are in Clayton, GA today, heading back to FL tomorrow.

Awesome job Tipper,
I prefer to watch them on youtube so I can hopefully learn some new strumming techniques by "watching" the professionals at work. I love the finger work Paul does in the video of - "old dogs and children and watermelon wine" an old Tom T. Hall song.
love your new blog and music site Thank you so much, Angie

I hope that the girls have a wonderful time at the festival. Maybe some scout will discover them and sign them to a big contract....

No bugs on this end! Poor Man is definitely my favorite of them all.
Marianne, your post could have been written by me. God bless you for having the courage and keeping the faith. I'm sure your battles have only made you stronger. I have to admit, I used to sing "I'll Fly Away" and then silently (of course) sing my own made-up songs that were not very Christian.

Tipper, Thanks for the music fix. I really enjoy it a lot . Larry Proffitt

Guess what! My modem quit again last evening. Oh, no! Music in the morning and I am gonna miss it! What to do? Reset don't help! Calm down, don't do that! You'll have to replace the window and maybe the lawnmower. Get thee behind me Satan! Just unplug it. Let it sit. It's an inanimate object. If you hadn't been so lazy you woulda had it swapped out already like they told you to do.
Thank the Lord for small favors. I plugged it back up this morning and it's working again. And so is the Music Player! And it's better than ever! It is all right over there! Listen all the way through or pick and choose! Beautiful!!
XX XX All them X's is crossed fangers.
So now if you don't hear from me for a day or two you ain't gonna know if the modem breathed it's last or it was me had a stroke of anger induced apoplexy.

What a nice surprise to wake up to ---the music---I am so very glad you got the music player fixed for I sure did miss that while reading your blog. Thanks!!!

Tipper--The music seems to be working fine, and if I can figure it out, anyone can. To top that off, you start out with one of my all-time favorite tunes.
A note to B. Ruth, although given her vast knowledge of all things connected with gardening, it probably isn't news to her. It ain't only chickens that like beet greens. I love young ones in a mixed greens salad, and I think they are just as good cooked as Swiss chard or spinach. Of course not everyone likes these greens--you have to appreciate the earthy taste. Mind you, that's true of beetroot as well.

I have to say that "I'll Fly Away" has been a favorite of mine for many years. My first husband was an abuser, I woke in the hospital after one of his issues (his term) the first thing I thought of was not how bad is it this time..or will I live... it was this song. Since that time (I got the courage to leave) this song has been almost my theme song, it is in my head when I wake up most mornings and after my nightly prayers. Thank you so much for having this first on the play list.. brought tears to my eyes to hear others singing my prayer song.

It's great to have the music back, Tipper! I know it's taken a lot of your time for to get this worked out. Thank you!
I bet the girls are soooo excited to be singing at the festival next weekend. What a great opportunity for them.

Great job on the Music Player, I see that Bobby Hicks is going to be at the Music Festival. Wow,, He is a super nice guy, I'd been wanting him to autograph a fiddle for me and we just could not get to go see him in person, ( with our daughters health issues) so I just e-mailed him and his wife responded and I ask if I could send him my fiddle for him to autograph if I paid for postage both ways and he said he'd be glad to do it,, Man I was excited,,I even got to talk to him on the phone...He and My wife's uncle were good friends back in the day, Bobby took Gordon's place with Bill Monroe when Gordon got called into the Army, tell your daughter he may autograph her fiddle if she'd like..

Are girls dancing at the festival and will all the gang be there..?
Have fun wish we could be there..and stay cool..It's supposed to be really hot next weekend...like it's cool now! LOL
Did you put up beets yet? Ours turned into chicken feed...We just never did have good luck with beets...but the chickens sure love the leaves...
Thanks Tipper,
I think "I'll Fly Away" and play some music...one of my heartpumpin', footstompin' favorites...
