This just cannot happen, I look so forward to your email every day. and I love to listen to the music , this just can't be. keep me posted. Thanks Kay

Well - I had to figure out how to comment... but I'll be in town for the Fall Festival and I'd sure like to be considered for those tickets! Sherry

Tipper, I'm not going anywhere and hope you never go anywhere but here. I've had you on RSS, favorites, and facebook. I couldn't get through my day without you.

Added to favorites as sure don't want to lose you and the bright spot of each morning!

Thanks for the info, Tipper-I am nearly techno illiterate. I would have panicked!

Tipper and B.Ruth-
In my experience two heads is an argument, three heads is a brawl. Anything more than that is a war! But I'm kind of an independent cuss. Don't throw me the life preserver 'til I come up the second time.

I see sumbidy rememburd me. Iv ben kwiet latly. I got band frum the innernet fur runin mi mauth two much. I snuck an dun thisin. Shore hope I dawnt git cawt. I stay in truble!

I went baak two mi tooter. I thank shez gonna hep me git in colledge an git one ov them PDFs atter mi name.

Tipper,
The last time I looked you showed
1568 readers. (and countless out
there that don't comment!!!)
Most of us have come to love that
kinda shy little girl who opens
up her heart to share the story
of Appalachia...Ken

Tipper,
and Ed....I agree that Tip doesn't need any help...Mountain Women survive..!! I am of the type that zeros in on experience and (tax write off) got in my eye,(must've been 'cause of the political year!) I always like to bend an ear to someone "whos been there done that", after all some "teach" learnt me that "three heads were mostly better than one!"...LOL I think that "professor" called it "Brain Stormin'!!!"
Thanks Tipper,
Now where in the heck is my "shut-up key!" LOL

How about voluntary contributions if you can't find something free? I'll give my part and I am sure a lot of your readers would too!
How is Google going to take over the world? Wal-Mart ain't going to give it up without a fight!

I'm with everyone else, we'll find you - just click on the link in favorites. I read your posts everyday and will continue to do so. I agree this might be a ploy to start charging a fee and yes, google wants to take over the world. ; )

I agree with Jim about an annual fee. The national average for a cup of coffee is $1.38. The cost of two cups of coffee per year buys you the Blind Pig and you get change? I would be willing to pay way more than that. Maybe two chocolate eclairs worth more.

I disagree with Jim and B.Ruth about your getting help. Help should be available only to the helpless and you sure ain't that. You've done it by yourself thus far and I for one am confident you will clear this hurdle too.

So let me know and I will forfeit my two cups of coffee. I've been thinking about the eclairs and we might have to negotiate over them.

It would be a shame if you lost your blog site Tipper, as I look forward to reading it and replying with comments when I can respond.
The Multiply Site I use will be closing down on December 1st, and I will miss it terribly. I am working on setting up my own web site page before then.
I am NOT a fan of Facebook, as it has become the devil's playground with a lot of misinformation written on it by those that abuse the site. I stay clear of it as much as possible because it's like a soap-opera of hurtful stories printed by people that have nothing better to say or do on it.
I thoroughly enjoy your site and music however, so I hope it stays up and running ticky-boo. Thanks for the heads up in advance.
C'ya later...Angie

Tipper, Thanks for keeping us informed. Like everyone above, I look forward to reading the "Blind Pig" every day. I now have you in my favorites.
You are talking about the Fall Festival there. We just had ours. I was asked this year to be the King of the "Richardson County Fair". This is a great honor for me. I don't see any way to attach a picture here, but I will email one to you if you want.
Thank you for being here every day for us.
Ken Kuhlmann

The Blind Pig & The Acorn goes hand in hand with my cup of coffee in the morning. I wouldn't want to miss either one of them! I have the web site book marked so I know where to find you!! Thanks for the heads up.

Blessings,

Ron

I lost everyone when I moved from blogger to wordpress. Now I have just a few subscribers which really stinks but at the same time, I'm annoyed with the whole feedburner thing. Hopefully they'll straighten it out. Feedblitz is supposed to be good BUT it isn't free. :(

"Not rain, nor snow, nor darkest night..." will keep me from this wondrous site (so it's not Carl Sandburg).

You have subscriber numbers? Never noticed.

thanks for heads up - I'd miss my morning "Pig" fix :)

Tipper,

Good Morning! Your emails, and your website, are as much a part of my daily routine as anything else. Thank you for sharing your daily life with us ... you're a bright spot and a blessing to us. May God always richly bless you, and your family!

Ron

Tipper,
I've been a fan since the very
start-up, it just took me awhile
to comment. A mutual friend was
there to touter me along. (and no
it wasn't Special Ed's, although
she could probably hep me two.)
There were times when my e-mail
didn't come, but I just clicked
on yesterday's blog and looked
under 'recent posts', then
everything was alright. Of all the
Internet sites I've read, Yours
is the Best...Ken

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a ploy by google to start charging for Feedburner with the justification that they need to charge to fix all their problems. I've noticed more and more formerly free services becoming fee driven. It's like Drug Pushers getting their victims hooked on free samples then socking it to them.

TIPPER I SURE HOPE THAT YOU FIND A WAY TO KEEP GOEING I LOOK FORWARD TO READING YOUR BLOG'S
FIRST THING IN THE MORNING PLEASE
EMAIL ME PERONALY IT YOU HAVE TO.
JOHNIE

Tipper,
I am purty ignert on most of this techy stuff!..I see that there Rss show up at times on my piture light, but to tell the truth I weren't for shore what hit was fur?..Now I know what a "Hss" is, as in "snake Hiss" and I know what a "Phiss" is as a'liken to my ole Tom cat seeing a "snake in the grass"...
Whoops, that there brings us back up to Google!!....
I learnt when I got this contraption from the very nice learner feller..that if'n I wanted to read somethin' every ding-dong day to file hit to the left (toward the silo at the fork down the road, not toward the Smiths old place that has the big red barn that goes the tother way) in what he called my very "fav-o-rite place"...So that's whar I go every ding-dong morning...I like to use "ding-dong" for a school larnin' word in my mountain tongue!
'ceptin' I was late this morning, 'cause when my toes hit the floor, I thunk hit was January and I snuck back under the kevers...
Thanks Tipper, you are my very fav-o-rite, so's you know I'll be hare...Love ya..Beve
PSs..I like the PSs key too..I'd give a listen to ole Jim, he sounds like he could learn you a thang or three...again Love ya,

As you know I have you right there under favorite blogs listed in the sidebar of my own blog. Every morning when I check my blog there you are with the latest post not only for me to enjoy but also my own readers : )

Thanks for the warning. We'll know where to find you!

LOVE YOU --- BEAUTIFUL WEATHER HERE

Don't worry I will find you!

Over the weekend we were in Ohio at a Blacksmith conference. We ran into Paul Garrett and told him you and I were friends. He commented on your talented girls, of course he said you were very talented too!

If Feedburner bites the dust and we can still find your blog, that's all that matters.

You just reminded me how much I would miss reading your blog if I somehow missed the e-mail or didn't look at facebook for a few days...glad and sad at the same time.

Tipper, I have you under my favorites, so I don't use the email link anyway. Love your blog and I am thrilled with my cd.

I get your notice thru email. But if things change, and they always do eventually, I'll go directly to your site. Thanks for the heads-up! You're the best, Tipper!!

Ahh! The world of technology! I still don't understand all of it, but I look forward every morning to reading your post. I do receive an email from your site. I never realized how it got to me. You are now in my favorites list, so I can just click and find you. Thanks for the heads up! My day would really be off if I didn't read you daily. Hope Google gets it fixed. We have a google business here in Lenoir; the newspaper said they had a fire there, but nothing major.

I usually access you through email, but you're bookmarked too! It's an addiction. We can't just stop!

Tipper, sorry to learn of your consternation re: Google, but trust me, if "you post it, we will find it."

I read every post and even will see a title from the past and go back and re-read it. Thanks
Ray

Tipper--There are some excellent alternatives available, but I think all of them require "cash money." Have you ever thought of a nominal "subscription" fee? Say $2 a year or something like that? I certainly would pony up without a second thought. I have to believe a lot of other loyal readers, and judging by the comments you have at least 200 of them, would do the same.

On a personal level, I pay a webmaster to handle all this stuff, and I have a lot of books to sell so I can justify the costs that way and keep my newsletter free. It's also a tax write-off, something you need to be thinking about. If you want me to go into this in fuller detail "person to person," I'll be glad to do so.

Google has some serious issues on other fronts, including political stances, censorship, Second Amendment, and more, and let's all hope they are just trying to find their footing.

One thing for sure--I would definitely miss my morning "fix" of mountain days and ways as I once knew them.
