My favorite is What Child is This

Hi! Thank you soooo much for the link on the apples. I did do a run of these and of course you were right......they are really good! The Blind Pig & The Acorn really makes my day-every day. It takes me back to the days I spent with my Granny (who passed at age 97) & all the wonderful specialties in life that meant so much then and even more so now. Your girls & their musical talent is rare nowadays. i work in a high school & we all need to pray for our children coming up in this world. Thanks for taking your time for others. May God richly bless each and everyone of you! He with no doubt has and will continue.

Really like Blind Pig and the Acorn and would like a copy of the cd!!

I'm a relatively new subscriber and have to agree with the other posters that your blog just makes me feel good! Reading your blog, listening to the Pressley girls, reminds me that this world is actually a pretty nice place! Thank you for sharing your blessings!

I love Thanksgiving. Actually it's really everyday I thank God for his blessings.

Listening to the girls is like being back home. Love the music. I would love to have a cd of them.

I too enjoy your blog. I would love to have a copy of the cd. You are an amazing family!

I would sure love to have this cd of the wonderful and accomplished Pressley Girls! Congratulations to all on the completion of the project! Love the cover photo, too.

I would be pleased to win the "contest" for a CD of the Pressley Girls. I often listen to the singing you present on YouTube. I listened again today to "Words of Life". I also like what you share about on Blind Pig and The Acorn.

I have been watching these two beautiful and talented gals since they were little. Their talent has skyrocketed. I would love to win their CD. I can hardly wait to see what God has planned for their musical future.

I am just so grateful for all the blessings you all add to my life, and keep me from missing my folks so much. You bring me so many good things. I'd say music, laughs, and memories top them, and I enjoy them all. Thank you so for being in my life.

I am thankful for your love of all things "Appalachian" and enjoy the music..especially the old hymns.

Blind Pig is my favorite blog, the memories and the music! Would love to win the CD!

Oh how I would love the girl's cd! I am so very thankful for the Blind Pig blog...it just feels like family and I learn so much.

Tipper,
Every time I come in and turn on my computer, the very first e-mails I look for is the Blind Pig and the Acorn and all the commenters. For about 10 years I have been Blessed by all the Folks in Wilson Holler. I'm so Proud of The Pressley Girls and their new CD. ...Ken

I look forward to your blog every morning. It almost always triggers memories pf past events in my life. I always enjoy the music and would definitely enjoy the cd.

would so much love to get a cd of the girls cant believe how fast they grow up we seem to just miss it you all have a great week and hello from christchurch new zealand

Happy Native American Month .And Thank You !

I'm thankful there are still people who appreciate good family life, being resourceful, sharing stories, supporting each others creative endeavors, and making music together.

We thank God every day for our parents and our families and we thank Him for our life in East Tennessee and Appalachia. For our church. And a great blessing: To know Blind Pig and the Acorn and the folks who love it as we love it. With all in our life, we are blessed.

Blind Pig and a cup of coffee sure set me straight in the morning. Thank you for a reminder of simpler, kinder times, and what’s really important.

I enjoy Blind Pig so much! I would love to have the girls' CD!

Now why in the world would I want another Pressley Girls cd. I already have two. I picked them up at the post office yesterday. They would have been here sooner but the Postal Service thought they needed to to go to "Somewhere", Egypt first. But they were worth waiting for, let me tell you. Carrie Pretzel (must be their manager) even got the Pressley Girls to autograph them for me.
Tipper, you and the Mister have been blessed and I have been blessed! A bunch of us have been blessed I think! The whole world could be blessed too if they would just open their eyes!

Would love to win the CD. You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family

Your Blind Pig blog is something I look forward to reading every morning. It always reminds me of my Daddy's family. They were just country folks from eastern NC (Smithfield) but their habits, traditions, terminology/language and overall culture just were not that different from the Appalachian culture you share with us all. Reading Blind Pig makes me feel like I'm sitting at my grandmother's table with all the family, and I'm right at home again!

What a wonderful keep sake this would be after watching the girls grow up on this Blog !

Makes my day everyday, makes. Me homesick for the foothills of NC.Thank You for sharing your life and Your Families GOD given talents

I subscribed to the blind pig after I left my roots in NC,I love your post, and the music that you share is the music I grew up listening At My grandparents House, and I miss them dearly.thank you for sharing your life with all of us.I love the blind pig

Love the music you share on the blog but it’s made even more enjoyable because of the stories you include.

Blind Pig is my favorite read every morning. I learn from every post and comments with smiles and laughs thrown in for good measure.

I have already got my CD! Just in case I wear it out or it ends up stolen, it wouldn't hurt to have a spare on hand.

I would love a CD by the girls. Not living in the area I have only be lucky enough to catch them 3 or 4 times at events.

I would love to have the CD! Their harmonies, choice of songs, and angelic voices are alway an inspiration to me.

The talent in your family is phenomenal, and I am so glad you keep this blog going.

Tipper--Gracious giving is surely a byword for you, and I suspect the same holds true for many of your readers. In looking at the photos accompanying today's blog, all sorts of warm thoughts are evoked, but the most immediate is just how much I enjoyed a jar of the apples from the run pictured here (Tipper generously donated them, along with other items, to the annual Southeastern Outdoor Press Association auction, and I was fortunate enough to be the winning bidder on the silent auction lot in which they were included).

Jim Casada

exciting and thankful time of the year - along with good music, the best time of the year - would love to have the girls cd!
